Now let’s be clear
Time and again, I have women consult with me. Each one fills out a questionnaire before our initial consultation. One of the last questions is "My goals." The most common answer: "I want to lose x kilos." So far, so good. Everything is discussed during the consultation, and we delve deeper into the topics. Of course, we primarily discuss the goals. Often, the same thing happens to many of us: "I want to be firmer and more defined." Well, that's not a problem, but in many cases, these statements unfortunately contradict each other enormously. The woman is usually already slim, wants to lose weight, follows the typical advice from social media, drinks detox teas, starves herself, and doesn't dare eat bananas or melons anymore. Let alone pasta, pizza, or cheese. But why my critical title for this blog post? Quite simply, all these efforts lead to these women losing weight, water, and muscle mass at best. They still feel uncomfortable, spend hours on the stepper, and cry themselves to sleep.
What everyone in this situation should please read here:
YOU ARE WORKING AGAINST YOUR GOAL!!!
If you want to be fit, slim, toned and defined you have to eat, you have to exercise and you have to have fun doing it. You want to look like an athlete? Then think like one! An athlete is unlikely to just eat a salad for lunch and a green smoothie for dinner. And they don't spend x hours on the treadmill (depending on the sport). They train hard, sometimes push themselves to their limits, believe in themselves and are motivated. They are not in a bad mood because they are not allowed to eat carbohydrates. They have energy and radiate this energy. Their body is their temple; they demand a lot from it, but also give it a lot in return. Intensive training is important, but so is recovery.
So if you're unhappy with your current situation, your body, or anything else, sit down, write down your goals, and think realistically about how you can achieve them.
