Today I'd like to share all my tips and tricks with you. Many of you struggle to maintain your weight. One diet follows another, and the despair grows ever greater. But is there perhaps a solution? Absolutely! But it won't be the same for everyone.
What I can offer you, however, is to give you a little insight into my lifestyle. Hopefully, you can draw some inspiration from it.
No bans:
The days when I imposed restrictions on myself are long gone. We all know that when our parents forbade us something, we wanted it all the more. So, no restrictions! I allow myself everything, but in moderation and not in excess. If I want something, I eat it; that way, there are no cravings or hunger pangs. It might be a little difficult at first, as the desire will outweigh the need, and then you'll eat larger portions because your body is still afraid that this is just an exception. This feeling will subside over time, though, and the portion sizes and cravings will settle down.
Regular meals:
I never skip a meal. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are always part of my routine. There are no exceptions here. Energy intake is sacred to me; otherwise, I can't perform at my job. I often have a snack at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and depending on my work schedule, a late-night snack. This way, I avoid cravings and feel fit.
Hardly any junk food:
My body is important to me, so I give it the best nutrients possible. Junk food is out of the question for me. I can't remember my parents ever ordering a pizza or any other delivery service knocking on our door when I was a child, so I think this has had a big influence on me. A plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce is a breeze, and I ALWAYS prefer it to junk food.
Daily exercise:
My daily routine usually involves a lot of exercise. I'm emphasizing exercise here, not sports. I enjoy being active, being outdoors, running errands by bike, and have an active lifestyle. I only do sports that I enjoy and only when I feel like it.
Don’t eat driven by emotions:
For me, emotions aren't a reason to eat. I once read an interesting article about this, which was about taking responsibility. Emotional eating is a matter of attitude and behavior. Anyone who wants to stop it has to learn to take responsibility for themselves and their bodies.
80:20
The 80:20 rule. I don't really want to call it that, but that's the term many people use. 80% healthy and balanced, 20% not so healthy ;) I think, in summary, I live pretty much exactly like that. I eat sweets every day and also enjoy going out to eat. All of this makes sense because I eat mostly healthy and balanced meals.
I hope you liked my tips and were able to take something away with you.
